My dear Sir
I beg leave to introduce to your acquaintance and attention Don de Miranda a Spanish Gentleman, who visits our Country, to view more nearly the scene where such great things have been performed by comparatively small means. I wish him to receive proper impression of our domestic character, which I am confident will not suffer, by his jorney to Boston and its vicinity. I am Dear Sir,

Col. de Miranda a Spanish Gentleman, and an enthusiast in the cause of Liberty will have the pleasure to deliver you this Letter. He possesses an extensive knowledge of Men and things, and his opportunities have been exceeded only by his eagerness to improve them.
I shall be obliged to you and my other friends to make Boston agreeable to him.

CARTA DE PRESENTACIÓN DE H. KNOX A JAMES SWAN. BOSTON
Mi estimado Señor:
Me permito presentar para conocimiento y cuidado de V., a Don de Miranda, un caballero español que visita nuestro país para ver más de cerca el escenario donde se han llevado a cabo asuntos tan importantes, con medios relativamente pequeños. Deseo que él reciba la impresión exacta de nuestra personalidad nacional, de la cual confío no tendrá que sufrir durante su viaje a Boston y sus alrededores.

El coronel de Miranda, un caballero español y un entusiasta de la causa por la libertad, tendrá el placer de entregar a V. esta carta. Posee un extenso conocimiento de los hombres y de las cosas y sus oportunidades sólo han sido superadas por su deseo de mejorarlas.
Agradeceré a V. y demás amigos míos procurar que Boston le sea agradable.
