Mr. Rutledge in Consequence of the Conversation which had passed between Colonel de Miranda & him waited on Mr. Brailsford; who declared that the treetment which he had received in the Island of Providence had exceedigly wounded his Sensibility—that it had been attributed to Colonel; wherefore as a man of Honor, if therefore the Colonel would answer his letter & convey to him the Sentiments which he had expressed to his friend Mr. Butledge, he should consider as satisfactory.
