I had the pleasure of receiving your letter from Amsterdam and congratúlate you on your safe arrival on the Continent, but I still have my Fears that you will be too late for the First Review which I understand was to commence on the 20th.—and I am told that some of the Roads in Germany are almost impossible from the great quantity of Rain that has fallen—However if too late for that at Breslaw, you will be in time for those at Magdebourgh & Berlin.
We have no other News here that the Irish Propositions are dropt, the Ministry finding themselves unable to carry them through but at the expence of a violent Ferment, which it was not prudent to risque: Notwithstanding this Disappointment Mr. Pitt it is said will stand his ground but may make some changes in the inferior department of State, but no Ñames are mentioned, ñor do I soppose they will take place before the meeting of Parliament.

He tenido el agrado de recibir su carta desde Ámsterdam y lo felicito por su feliz llegada al Continente, pero me temo que V. llegue tarde a la primera Revista, que según tengo entendido comienza el 20. También me han dicho que algunas de las carreteras en Alemania están intransitables por la gran cantidad de lluvia que ha caído. Si V. llega tarde a la de Breslau, tendrá tiempo sin embargo para asistir a las de Magdeburgo y Berlín.
No tenemos aquí ninguna otra noticia sino la caída de las proposiciones irlandesas, encontrándose el mismo Ministerio incapaz de atraérselos si no es a costa de un violento fermento, lo que no sería prudente arriesgar. A pesar de esta desilusión, se dice que Mr. Pitt se mantiene firme pero puede hacer algunos cambios en el Departamento Interior de Estado, pero no se menciona ningún nombre y supongo que no tendrán lugar antes de la reunión del Parlamento.
