Permit me to endose you the Copys of Five Letters deliverd me by my f riend Mr. Jas. Seagrove in Havanah…..
I was destin'd from that place to Charles Town but the vessell I was on board of put in here.— I hope to have the pleasure of presenting you the Original of the enclosd copys myself in a Short time. Should not the Schooner Elize as here in mentiond be arrived.
I beg you will still proceed according to Mr. Seagrove Instructions and on my arrival at Cha8. Town I will settle that Bussines to your Satisfaction.

Señor:
Permita que le incluya copias de cinco cartas que me fueron entregadas por mi amigo el señor James Seagrove en La Habana.
Yo iba de aquel lugar con destino a Charles Town, pero el buque a bordo del cual me encontraba, arribó aquí. Espero tener el placer de presentarle yo mismo en breve, el original de las adjuntas copias, por si no llegase la goleta "Elize", como se dice aquí debe llegar.
Le ruego prosiga de acuerdo con las instrucciones del señor Seagrove y a mi llegada a Charles Town resolveré ese asunto a su satisfacción.
