El presidente Manning saluda respetuosamente al coronel de Miranda, y conforme a su solicitud, le informa del costo de la educación en el Colegio de Providencia.
La pensión, que incluye tres buenas comidas al día, bien servidas, limpiar la habitación y hacer la cama una vez al día, cuesta 6/9 o un dólar y 1/8 por semana; la enseñanza, 16 dólares al año, incluye uso de la biblioteca, instrumentos y cursos dictados por los profesores; alquiler de la habitación 4 dólares al año y lavado en común 1 / por semana.
V. vio el estatuto y conforme a la liberalidad del programa original del Instituto, los reglamentos prohíben todo examen religioso y admiten a los católicos que disfrutan de las mismas ventajas de los protestantes de toda denominación.
