Dear Sir,
I have had so much pleasure & have acquired so much information from the bearer Col. De Miranda that I am desirous f the honor of introducing him to your acquaintance. He is a native of South America & of high rank in the army of his most Catholic Majesty. He loves liberty with an ardor that would do honor to the reest State in the world. He arrived here lately & has been respectfully noticed by the best people of this Metrópolis.
I wish him to be received with every mark of attention as he passes hrough the centinent & I am certain shat man of sentiment & of inquisitive dispositions will be much delighted with his company. I beg leave to recommend him to your acquaintance &.

He sentido mucho placer y he adquirido tanta información del portador de ésta, coronel de Miranda, que estoy deseoso de tener el honor de presentárselo, para que V. lo conozca. Es nativo de América del Sur y tiene un alto grado en el ejército de su muy Católica Majestad. Ama la libertad con tal ardor que haría honor a la nación más libre del mundo. Ha llegado aquí recientemente, siendo recibido respetuosamente por los mejores ciudadanos de esta metrópoli.
Quisiera fuera recibido con toda clase de atenciones a su paso por el continente y estoy seguro que cualquier hombre de sentimiento y temperamento inquiridor, estará encantado con su compañía. Le ruego lo recomiende a sus amistades.
